Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-24
By accessing tradeupplaybook.com or purchasing the Trade Up playbook, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site or buy the product. Plain English follows; if you want a lawyer's parse, you're welcome to consult one.
1. What you're buying
The Trade Up playbook is a digital product — a PDF book and a ZIP of templates files — sold as a one-time purchase at the price displayed at checkout. There is no recurring subscription. The product is delivered via download links sent to the email address you provide at checkout.
2. License and use
When you buy the product, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal-use license. This means:
- You can read, print for personal use, reference the templates for your own businesses, copy text into your private notes, and apply the playbook to as many of your own businesses as you'd like.
- You can't resell, sublicense, republish, redistribute, post the files publicly, or use the content as the basis for a competing product or course without our written permission.
- The templates pack files (website template, CSS palettes, JSON-LD schemas, prompts, worksheets) are licensed for use in your own client work and your own businesses without further attribution. You can modify them freely.
If you're a consultant or agency and want to use the templates as part of services you provide to your clients, that's permitted under this license. Don't redistribute the book itself or the prompts pack as a standalone product.
3. Updates and revisions
We update the playbook periodically — new chapters, corrected information, new templates. As an existing buyer, you get free access to all future revisions of the product purchased. We'll email you when significant updates ship.
4. Refunds
14-day no-questions-asked refund policy. See the Refund Policy for full details.
5. No professional advice
The playbook is informational and educational. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, or business-advisory services. We share what's worked across three local-service-business launches in Wichita, KS, and what we've researched about the broader market — but every business is different, and what worked in our context may not work in yours.
Specific examples worth flagging:
- The legal/LLC/EIN/tax chapters describe general patterns and the kinds of decisions you'll face. They are not a substitute for an attorney or accountant. Consult one before filing.
- The insurance recommendations are general guidance. Talk to a licensed insurance broker before binding any policy.
- State and local regulations vary widely. Verify any regulatory claim against your own jurisdiction's actual rules.
6. No guarantee of results
We make no guarantee that following the playbook will produce any specific business outcome — revenue, customer count, ranking position, or otherwise. Outcomes depend on factors we don't control (your specific trade, your market, your time investment, your execution, the broader economy). The playbook is a sequenced, well-researched starting point; the work is yours.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the product or this site is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
8. Intellectual property
The content of the Trade Up playbook — text, brand, design, illustrations, and structure — is owned by Warren Bros Fencing LLC and protected under U.S. copyright law. Third-party tools, services, and brand names referenced in the playbook (Cloudflare, Google, Resend, Quo, BrightLocal, Lemon Squeezy, etc.) are the property of their respective owners.
9. Acceptable use of the website
Don't attempt to:
- Bypass security measures or download products without paying.
- Scrape, copy, or republish website content for redistribution.
- Disrupt the site's operation (DDoS, malicious requests, spam form submissions).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes, we'll notify existing customers by email.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to revoke product access in cases of clear license violation (e.g., reselling the playbook on a torrent site, sharing the PDF publicly). In practice this is rare.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sedgwick County, Kansas.
